There are 5 different successful logins from IPs in different countries for the last month that are definitely not by me. So I logged into my and went to the "Security Settings" page and went through my login history. I have not logged into my ubisoft account since I completed Assassin's Creed Origin a few months back and I have 2FA (Google Authenticator) enabled for my account.

It seems that someone logged into my account from an IP in France ( ).

Last night I received an email by Ubisoft support (automated) that there was suspicious activity with my account. Read this post from u/BobTheBritishSkellie (link to comment)

Thanks.Latest response from Ubisoft's customer support on my ticket You can reach us either through the support website by opening a live chat session or alternatively through our social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter and they will be able to create a support case for you. In the interest of account security as this is a public forum I have deleted your post above containing the image link as it contains info pertaining to another Ubisoft account. So we can gather further information from you on this would you be able to submit this info and any other info you can provide on this group privately on a support case please? We'd like to pass this on to our security team for further investigation. They can retrieve: All general account information, linked accounts, games, purchase dates, skins/other content I have recently come across a group that exploits Ubisoft's API to retrieve information about users that otherwise shouldn't be available, which aids them in stealing accounts. Since the original post it does seem apparent that Ubisoft Support has increased the requirements/verification checks for recovering accounts. The integrity and security of our accounts is crucial, and it's genuinely unfortunate that even while going through extra steps to ensure your account is secured, perpetrators can gain access via uncontrollable means where it should not be possible. I would presume older, inactive accounts are mainly targeted due to inactivity, however this also does occur with active accounts. I'm fairly certain Ubisoft is aware of this issue however it's relevance has gained traction significantly recently.Īll I ask is that Ubisoft tightens their support services regarding access to accounts, especially in instances where the individual has no access to the account. Once they receive access to the account, the individual commonly cheats on said account or sells the account to others. It has happened often in the past with content creators and streamers, where these individuals gain unauthorized access to their accounts by fabricating information, receipts and sending it to Ubisoft Support. There are individuals that are using Ubisoft Support as a means to recover/take accounts that are originally not their own.
